By registering for an event online, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and you confirm your acceptance of all of the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo Registration and Associated Events Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”): 

Event Registration

 

  1. Definitions
  • “ISSA” means the International Sanitary Supply Association Oceania.
  • “ISSA Expo” means the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo 2026.
  • “Associated Event” means an event associated with the ISSA Expo, including but not limited to educational sessions, networking events, receptions, etc.
  • “Event” shall mean, collectively, the ISSA Expo, an Associated Event, or other session/event that may be held by ISSA.
  • “Event Operations Manager” means ISSA’s event organiser or any of its agents.
  • “Venue” means the location of an Event.
  • “You” means you, the individual registering for the ISSA Expo.
  1. Payment (when applicable). Certain Events require payment of a registration fee. All prices are in Australian dollars and subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST). ISSA’s preferred method of payment is credit card. Credit card payments will be processed through a secure online payment service. ISSA also accepts direct deposit (EFT). You must pay within 30 days of the invoice, and, in all cases, prior to the date of the Event that you have registered to attend.
  1. Cancellation/Refund Policy (when applicable). If you register and pay to attend an Event and are unable to attend, you may assign your registration to another individual at no additional cost. If you are unable to attend and eligible for a refund, you will be refunded using the same method you used to pay for your registration; provided, however, ISSA and the Event Operations Manager reserve the right to refund you using an alternative method.
  1. Event Content. ISSA and the Event Operations Manager reserve the right to make changes to the published program or content of an Event, including but not limited to the location, content, timings and/or speakers.
  1. Event Venue.Events are held at various venues and locations throughout Australia and New Zealand. ISSA and the Event Operations Manager may need to change the published Venue for an Event for reasons beyond their control and, in such cases, you may not be entitled to a refund. You are liable for any loss or damage caused to ISSA’s, the Event Operations Manager’s, and the Venue’s property and premises. You agree to adhere to all housekeeping rules, procedures, and policies (including policies related to behaviour and conduct) that may be in place at a specific Venue. If you have a disability or medical condition that requires access or provisions at a Venue, please notify ISSA or the Event Operations Manager when you register.
  1. Rights in Materials. All copyrights, trademarks, service marks, and other rights (including all intellectual property rights) of materials provided for an Event, including without limitation notes, slides, brochures, magazines, articles, or case studies, are the sole, absolute, and exclusive property of ISSA, or its licensors.
  1. General Data Protection.
  • Future Communications. By registering to attend an Event, you consent to receive future communications from ISSA and the Event Operations Manager, including but not limited to e-newsletters from relevant publications and promotional materials for future events. Following registration, you may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Personal & Contact Information. By registering to attend an Event, you consent to your personal and/or contact information being provided to ISSA and the Event Operations Manager. By registering to attend an Event, you consent to ISSA and the Event Operations Manager sharing your personal and/or contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Onsite Collection of Personal & Contact Information.Certain Events allow exhibitors or sponsors to collect attendee information onsite by scanning individual visitor badges with your consent. This information is collected for lead capture and direct marketing purposes. An exhibitor or sponsor may only scan or collect your information with your consent. An exhibitor or sponsor cannot force you to have your visitor badge scanned and, if you do not want it scanned, you must object at the time any such request is made.

 

Conditions of Entry

 

In these Conditions of Entry (Conditions), a reference to:

A. ISSA, Event Operations Manager, or Venue means the Victorian Convention and Event Trust, its employees, agents, officers, and other authorised representatives.

B. You or your refers to you, or any person with you, including any dependents or children under your supervision.

ISSA and the Event Operations Manager are committed to providing you with the best experience possible and appreciate your commitment to the welfare and safety of yourself and those around you.

Everyone is welcome at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and the external areas managed by the Venue (Premises), but you are asked to comply with these Conditions and follow any reasonable directions given by ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue, as well as any relevant signage. ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue reserve the right to deny entry to or remove any person from the Premises, including anyone who does not comply with these Conditions.

To ensure the safety of visitors remains contemporary, ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue reserve the right to change these Conditions without notice and at their discretion.

 

Acceptable Behaviour

 

  • You must behave in a manner that does not interfere with the safety and enjoyment of others whilst on the Premises. Specifically, you must not:
  • Behave in a manner which causes or may cause property damage, or that threatens or may threaten the safety of ISSA’s or the Event Operations Manager’s customers (and their contractors) or any other persons.
  • Behave in a manner that unreasonably interferes with others’ enjoyment of the Premises, including but not limited to through the use of cameras, mobile phones, personal computers, paging devices or other electronic devices; unreasonably disrupting any Event held on the Premises; obstructing the view of a seated patron by any means; or conducting public surveys or opinion polls, handing out
  • promotional items, or soliciting donations, subscriptions, or petitions, or other commercial or political disruption or activity.
  • Behave in a manner deemed by ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue to be displaying offensive, disorderly, or unlawful behaviour.
  • Behave in a rude or aggressive manner to any other person, including staff. Any service issues should be directed to ISSA, Event Operations Manager, or the Venue through established complaints processes.
  • Use foul or abusive language or make racial or threatening remarks or gestures, or engage in any criminal activity.
  • Enter any restricted internal area without proper authorisation from ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue.
  • Disobey any reasonable or lawful direction given by ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, an authorised officer, or Victoria Police, including any direction to be removed or restricted from the Premises.
  • Fail to comply with these Conditions.

 

Video and Photographs

 

  • When you attend the Premises, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the Premises, you consent to your image and likeness being taken and used by ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue for marketing and related purposes, including on their website and social media channels, without compensation or further notice. All recordings are the sole property of ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue, and you release them from liability arising from such usage.

  • Security cameras also operate on the Premises for your safety, and you acknowledge that you may be filmed when attending.

  • If you do not wish to appear in any film or photos, please inform a staff member at the Customer Service desk so that appropriate steps can be taken to ensure you are not included.

  • Images taken of the Premises with a camera, mobile phone, or other wireless device cannot be used for any purpose other than private and domestic use. You must not sell, licence, publish, or otherwise commercially exploit photographs. Taking and/or publishing video footage of any Event by any means is forbidden, including sharing on social media channels. Production, transmission, or distribution of broadcasts or narrowcasts of any images, footage, sounds, or data from the Premises by any means or in any format or media is not permitted.

 

Health and Safety

 

Restrictions on entry — concealing your identity

ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue reserve the right to inspect your bags or clothing or conduct reasonable personal checks of any person either at the entry to the Premises or within the Premises at any time.

Unless you have a religious, medical, or other justifiable reason for doing so, or as directed by Government directives, you must not attempt to conceal your identity with a scarf, balaclava, mask, motorcycle helmet, or other item either at the entry to or within the Premises.

Restrictions on entry — what you must not bring onto the Premises

In addition to any other Conditions, and unless otherwise approved by ISSA, Event Operations Manager, or the Venue, you must not, whilst on the Premises:

  • Leave any bags or other personal items unattended.
  • Have in your possession and/or refuse to surrender to ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue, upon reasonable request any prohibited items, including but not limited to:
    • Illicit substances.
    • Dangerous or inappropriate items, including cutlery (excepting wooden and plastic cutlery), chairs, stools, tents, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), flares, fireworks, firecrackers, smoke bombs, laser pointers, weapons, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, roller-skates, and any other items ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue reasonably consider may pose a health and safety risk to others.
    • Bags over A4 size or that cannot fit under a seat.
    • Eskies, hampers, and large containers in excess of 1.5 litres.
    • Glass (including bottles), aluminium cans, ceramic, or breakable containers.
    • Flags, banners, signs, and any unauthorised promotional, commercial, political, religious, or offensive items of whatever nature.
    • Musical instruments, whistles, loud hailers, or amplification equipment.

You must cloak any items ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue reasonably consider must be cloaked, and a cloaking fee may apply.

Restrictions on entry — what you can bring onto the Premises

Subject to any reasonable inspection by ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, or the Venue, the following items are permitted:

  • Small bags, such as handbags.
  • Non-alcoholic beverages or drink bottles in plastic.
  • Infant food.
  • Paper or plastic cutlery only.
  • Roll-on deodorant and one small bottle of perfume.
  • Prescription and non-prescription medicine in their blister pack and clearly labelled, or inhalers for medical purposes.
  • E-cigarettes, cigarettes, and lighters.
  • Umbrellas.

Alcohol

It is an offence under Victorian law to possess alcohol that has not been purchased on the Premises. You must not bring alcoholic beverages onto the Premises, and you must not allow minors to purchase or consume alcohol or supply alcohol to a minor.

ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone believed to be intoxicated or likely not to comply with the above requirements. Where appropriate, the matter may be reported to Victoria Police.

Smoking

You must not smoke (including the use of e-cigarettes and/or vaping) at the Premises or in any area designated as non-smoking.

Animals

You must not bring any animals onto the Premises, other than animals recognised as assistance animals under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 that are in service at the time. ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue reserve the right to ask you,

acting reasonably, to produce evidence that your animal satisfies the requirements of an assistance animal under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

Cashless via card transactions

To support health and safety, payments at all cafes and retail outlets on the Premises are to be made by credit or debit card as accepted by the Venue.

Government health measures and directions

ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue adhere to all government public health and safety measures that apply to the Premises. These may change from time to time.

You agree to comply with all Government directions, orders, and regulations relevant to attending the Premises that may be in place at the time of your visit. This includes not attending the event if, at that time, you are subject to a requirement imposed by law to self-isolate or otherwise not attend live events.

Whilst all legally required and recommended control measures in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic have been implemented, you acknowledge and accept that there remains an unquantifiable risk of transmission of COVID-19. All persons are assumed to have assessed this risk of transmission, including through consideration of their own health condition, in making the decision to attend the Premises.

Liability

You enter the Premises at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ISSA, the Event Operations Manager, and the Venue will not be responsible for any loss, damage, harm, or injury arising from your entry to the Premises.
