The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo has continued its success in Australia, with the third annual event taking place in Melbourne.
Run in partnership with ISSA and Interpoint Events, the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is the industry’s leading trade event.
More than 1100 visitors attended the first day at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), representing a 15% increase on first-day attendees last year in Sydney.
This year’s event has held two simultaneous speaker theatres – the ISSA Speaker Theatre and the SRCP (Specialised Restoration & Cleaning Professionals) Speaker Theatre, with almost 30 education sessions taking place across the two days.
Workshops included the Australian Institute of Packaging’s technical seminar on sustainable packaging and the 2025 National Packaging Targets; Work Health Safety and an IICRC Rug Cleaning Technician Course.
Simon Cooper, managing director of Interpoint Event, said the atmosphere on the exhibit floor was extremely positive following the first day.
“The feedback from visitors on the strong education program was complemented by comments we received on the number of new and innovative products.”
ISSA vice president, international services Dianna Steinbach, said the show has experienced steady traffic between the expo and its co-location partner, Waste Expo Australia, and has received positive feedback from both attendees and exhibitors.
“We’ve seen a steady stream between both [events], with attendees receiving additional value and benefit.”
The event concluded with networking drinks hosted by the event’s platinum sponsor, Karcher Australia, followed by the annual INCLEAN Innovation Awards.
The 2020 ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo will be co-located with leading workplace health and safety event, Safety in Action.
